The Town of Sevastopol has several parks and boat launch areas:
Sevastopol Town Park in Institute. Located on the corner of State Highway 57 and Ripp Road, approximately 5 miles north of Sturgeon Bay. Home field to the Institute Cubs (Door County League Baseball), Sevastopol High School Boys Baseball and Girls Softball teams, Mighty Pioneers and Northern Door Legion, plus Babe Ruth, tournaments and doubleheader leagues throughout the season. The concession stand is open seasonally, with bathrooms. The covered pavilion is available for rent (see Forms link for reservations). There is a playground, picnic tables, plenty of parking, tennis/pickleball and basketball court.
Cave Point County Park. The most photographed area in all of Door County! Located on Lake Michigan, follow Clark Lake Road/County WD east to Schauer Road into Whitefish Dunes State Park. Picturesque shoreline cliffs with picnic areas, hiking trail, parking and restrooms. The gazebo and scenic background make for an exceptional wedding ceremony setting! Whitefish Dunes Park. Open year round, follow Clark Lake Road/County WD toward Lake Michigan. Whitefish Dunes State Park protects the fragile dune environment on the eastern Door County Peninsula. Stroll along Lake Michigan, watch waterfowl at Clark Lake, use the boardwalk and many trails to discover the shore, wetlands and forest. The Park's nature center features year-round programs, exhibits and displays on ecology, geology and human history. Whitefish Dunes is a day-use park, there is no camping. Winter activities include Candle Ski/Walk along luminaire lit trails.
George Pinney/Olde Stone Quarry Park at 4879 Bay Shore Drive/County B, approximately 4 miles north of Sturgeon Bay on west side of Town. There is a 6-lane launch facility and harbor of refuge, pier fishing, pavilion, picnic area, parking and restrooms. Imagine limestone quarry mining along the cliffs in the old days!
Clark Lake beach. Just before entering Whitefish Dunes Park, on Clark Lake Road. Sand beach for relaxing, marked swimming area, parking area and portable toilet units.
Whitefish Bay Boat Launch into Lake Michigan. At the end of Whitefish Bay Road/County T. Limited access due to wave and sand action, portable toilet during summer season.
Town Line Boat Launch into Clark Lake. At the end of Town Line Road, no facilities. The launch/ramp area was completely reconstructed in summer 2013 with a permanent concrete ramp. Portable toilet during summer season.
